Water Pressure – gas boiler and showers

Hi, we’ve recently moved in and the water pressure in our flat (first floor) is so low that the showers hardly work and the gas boiler pilot light keeps going out as the water pressure is low.
Does anyone else have this issue or can you offer any suggestions?

Hi Justin and welcome to the building. We moved in fourth floor end of March this year and haven’t had any issues with pilot lights nor water pressure. It’s really strong actually.

If there is, it might be faulty and need replacing.

We live on the 5th floor and I believe we have 2 pumps, one to get the water up to the 5th and one to get the water up a level higher. I can have a closer look tomorrow.

The pumps for the entire building are on the East side of Globe. They should all be working . as they were reset a few weeks ago after a power failure.

Is the pressure in the boiler at the right level? That’s another thing you might want to check.

Principia advise a water pump serving the building has failed and that they are getting quotes to replace. Nothing as yet on timing.
