Dear Resident
We have been made aware of instances where cigarette ash/butts, garden soil and other debris are being accidentally dropped on to neighbouring balconies and outdoor furniture.
If you are a smoker and prefer to smoke on your balcony or from an open window, we politely ask that you use a suitable ashtray to dispose of your cigarette ash and butts, rather than flicking them outside, even if there is no balcony beneath, as the wind can carry small debris. More importantly, lit cigarette butts are a fire hazard and can cause injury to passers-by on the street.
If you are a keen gardener, and like to keep plants on your balcony, please ensure that garden soil and other debris are contained and do not pass through the gaps on to the balcony below. Please also take the utmost care when watering your plants to ensure no water lands on the balcony below.
Thank you for your cooperation and attention in this matter.Globe Wharf Directors and Principia
